I have not physically stayed in the hotel yet, but I’ve made one online through Expedia.

Last Minute Hotels in Zhongshan District.Short ride from the National Palace museum. There are few convenient stores and small restaurants across the road. Miramar mall and a big food court are in 5 minutes walking distance. The area is mostly good for business in Neihu district, you will have to take a taxi or MRT (closest station is in about 5 minutes walk) to the more popular areas in the city. There are some selection changes every day. The selection and the quality are OK (not more than that) but if you arrive after 9 am you can find the food missing and cold. There are a pool and a sauna in the hotel which I didn't have time to use.

The staff is very polite, helpful and most speak decent english. The room, and the hotel area in general, are very clean. Two things that I never saw in other hotels in Taipei - the floor is not carpet covering but wood (or maybe wood looking plastic) which actually makes the room feel cleaner, and the wardrobe is accessible from both the room and the bathroom (pure genius). The bathroom is big and includes a big bath, a steam room (which is also a shower) and a "smart toilet" with heating seat, bidet and other functions. The room is quite big (which is typical for Taipei), big TV, big working desk with a panel which allows you to connect your laptop to the TV, very comfortable bed. One thing that, in my opinion, was really lacking in the room is a capsule coffee machine which started to become a standard in many business oriented hotels. The hotel is relatively new and well equipped. Considering to make it my "default choice" for this area. This is not the most fancy hotel in the area, but maybe the best in terms of value for money. I have stayed in this hotel for a week in August, travelling for business in Neihu district. I’ve been to Taiwan over 20 times and have stayed in economical and luxury hotel, none have been like this. With this response and attitude, I can’t bear to even think of stepping into such a place. I’ve been a Front Office Manager for an international chain hotel and have worked in Asia and US, this is totally unheard of. It’s 6 weeks before the travel dates and they seem to be so hungry to lose my reservation.this is a bell to tell you how bad the hotel must be. I called back and they said reservation was closed. I called at 5pm and after getting such bad attitude I’ve asked to speak to the manager or have someone call me back and she said there is no manager (it must have been 5:20pm at the time). She was very persistent and was very rude to say nothing can be done. I explained I’m only there for 3 days with kids and 2 days just don’t make any sense. The reservationists, Carrie, tells me it’s not possible and they every hotel have their own policies. I’ve called the hotel and said this was not acceptable and I would like to cancel. A day later, I got a message from the hotel the the pool and sauna access needs 2 days prior reservation in order to be enjoyed. The hotel has a 4-stars rating with pool and all.
